For season 7, I've had the pleasure to work the season's starter island which ended up being nothing less than the famous Marvel Helicarrier ! This was a very exciting season filled with great locations and the environment team did an amazing job.
Josh Marlow was the main artist and point of contact on this POI. He worked on the entire Helicarrier shell which includes the giant propellers, the whole runway as well as the side platforms, props which were used to set dress the shell and much more. I was tasked with creating the modular architecture pieces that make up the Command Center such as Walls, Ceilings, Floors and some extra props to dress up those walls. Troy Perry modeled and textured the Helicarrier top Mast as well as the Hydraulic Elevator located at the center of the Hangar. The awesome Jet ships were modeled and textured by Mike Mclarty. Visual Effects were done by Fredrik Seehuusen. The Helicarrier concept was done by Drew Hill. Additional paintovers and concept by Gervasio Canda. Amazing work from the level designers as well, Evan Champlin and Brenden Mcgoona. Outsourcing was managed by Nate Bowden and Rick Kohler was the Environment art director.
As you can see this was a great team effort and I'm really happy about how this POI came out. If was really fun to work on and I'd like to thank Josh Marlow once again for his continuous support and guidance throughout this POI. A special thanks as well to Brian Fasten, Philip Hatfield and the whole integration team for helping us make this POI work !
Cheers =)
